Taylor Swift Scuffle Aside, Apple’s New Music Service Is Expected To Thrive

When the star of pop music Swift Taylor publicly criticized the royalty payment plans Apple recently, government regulators who had been investigating the company for several other reasons might have thought: Get in line.

In recent years, Apple has become the most valuable company in the world and one of the most scrutinized. Authorities in Europe and the United States are studying offers Apple with record for possible antitrust violations.

But as Apple prepares to begin its long-awaited music subscription service streaming Tuesday, few marketing experts expect the fight with Ms. Swift leaving no scar. Instead, they think proved to be very good publicity.

"I do not think the episode has damaged their brand at all," said Jordan Cohen, marketing director of fluid, a consumer marketing firm. "More than anything, served to shine a big spotlight on its new offer with a week to go until the launch."

Apple's new service Music has the potential over the next two years to produce 100 million subscribers, according to Jan Dawson, an independent technology analyst for Research jackdaw. That would more than double the 41 million subscriptions combined payment for all services current music streaming last year, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, a trade group in London, estimates.

Skating last controversy has become an important skill for Apple in recent years, and the rapid response of the company to the public letter from Mrs. Swift provides a window into how the Silicon Valley giant responds to criticism.

While iPhones and Macs are flying off the shelves, analysts and marketing experts say, Apple has little reason to listen to his critics - except when they are the rare few like Ms. Swift that can have a direct impact on sales.

"What she says is gold, and at this point has been achieved both brand power is difficult, even for companies like Apple to pay no attention," said Erik founder Indi loop, a service of musical creation Ashdown.

In their open letter, entitled "For Apple, Love Taylor," Ms. Swift said she was holding her latest album Apple music because artists like her were unhappy with the company's decision to omit the payment of royalties to musicians during the three-month trial of the new music service.

Within a day, Apple's head of online services, Eddy Cue said in his Twitter account that the musicians would be paid during the three-month trial. "I heard @ taylorswift13 and independent artists. Love, Apple," he wrote.

Government regulators would be upset to realize that a musician of 25 years of age, had better luck curb Apple's behavior than they have had.

Apple, based in Cupertino, Calif., 2013 keep fighting the decision of a federal judge who conspired with book publishers to raise prices of electronic books. Apple continues to appeal the decision, and has also been resistant to cooperation with a lawyer the court appointed to supervise their operations to ensure compliance with antitrust laws.

More recently, in Europe and the United States antitrust regulators opened investigations into Apple music. They are trying to find out if Apple pressed the record - or if the labels conspired with Apple and others - to withdraw support for popular services "freemium" offered by companies like Specify for music subscriptions paid Apple.

So far, Apple Music antitrust investigations have produced no evidence of collusion. This month, Universal Music Group, said in a letter to the attorneys general of New York and Connecticut State that had no agreement with Apple that would prevent the availability of free or advertising.

But if consumers are weighing in their portfolios, which have shown complete indifference to regulatory matters. In the second fiscal quarter, iPhone sales increased 40 percent year on year, and sales of Mac computers increased 10 percent year over year. The company has accumulated more than $ 193,500 million in cash.

"When you think about Apple, you think very easy to use and a great experience," said Greg Portell, a partner at AT Kearney, a global management consulting firm. "If you have problems with product quality, that's when things start to stumble."

However, Apple has, in fact, was flawed product in recent years. The iPhone received a blow in 2010 when a design flaw in the iPhone 4 - called the press Antennagate tech - caused the mobile phone reception is lost for some users when the phone was clutching.

The long-term impact? No harm done yet. In fact, iPhone sales continued to grow.

Other imperfections of Apple products recently bubbled. Releases its latest software systems for mobile devices, iOS 8 and Mac computers, OS X, had problems. Errors caused iPhones lose a cellular signal and provide their fingerprint sensors unusable, raising concerns that the quality control of the company was slipping.

"These issues were probably the first time that I heard often from family and friends and people who are not in this industry - that were recognized, why is this failing a lot," said Ben Bajarin, analyst with Creative Strategies.

Apple is trying to solve the problems. A beta or early version of its next mobile operating system, iOS 9 will be released in early July for curious consumers to try before its official launch this fall. Outsourcing testing system will allow Apple consumers to do a better job of ending the insects before the software is widely used.

In technology, self-inflicted wounds have historically been worse than government decisions. In 2001, the Justice Department settled its antitrust case against Microsoft - and the company keeps right on growing. It was not until that Microsoft is seriously wrong transition to mobile computing devices that growth slowed, Bajarin said.

That does not mean that Apple always ignore his critics. The company has publicly acknowledged he should do better with diversity in the workplace. Furthermore, in response to allegations of violations of labor rights in factories abroad, by other companies, producing iPhones and iPads, Apple has deepened its involvement in factory audits, including the creation of training programs to teach providers how to do a better job tracking hours of workers.

Public reaction to Apple Music will be a test. One of the challenges in the release of Apple Music, music executives said, will retain the basic concept of the original iTunes store - each song costs 99 cents to download - which has helped to make more music store largest in the world and a vital source of revenue for the industry.

Apple Music, by contrast, combines a number of features that highlight the complexity of online music has become. It has a subscription streaming service like Spotify; platform media that has been compared to SoundCloud, which allows people to upload and stream any audio freely; and the characteristics of radio services compete with Internet and satellite as Pandora and Sirius XM.

"We currently do not have such a high value brand that one or two setbacks will not hurt them," said Mr. Portell of AT Kearney. "If they have more setbacks, that part of the brand begins to degrade."

Taylor Swift Calls Out Sexist Critics Again

Taylor Swift is focusing on it now.

The singer of "white space" recently opened in an interview with The Telegraph, saying right now, "Love is not really a priority," and joked that she will end as a single woman in cats within five years.

When asked how her life is imagined 30 years old, Swift said, "I'll probably remain unique, let's be honest."

The Grammy winner went on to say how difficult it is to maintain a happy relationship outside attention: "Nobody is going to sign up for this and everything that goes with it I do not know what will happen if I'm never content in a relationship. I do not even know if that's possible with the life that I have." But then it was joked that she will probably end locked in his house, "surrounded by cats."

Beyond the dating rumors, Swift is tired of people saying she only writes about music hates men, who has long been a criticism of his songs. "There was a bit of a reputation for having lots of boy-bashing songs," Swift said. "What a way to say sexist songs distress."

The singer previously called critics last year to say she only writes about relationships, but recognize that male musicians like Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran sing about the same things.

"Everyone is writing songs about her ex-boyfriends, current girlfriends, his love life and no one raises a red flag there," Swift told Australian radio program "Jules, Merrick and Sophie."

Taylor Swift Tells Her Favorite Sam Smith Story

Swift Jets on the grandeur of the singer UK - and when they knew they would be friends forever.
Taylor Swift and Sam Smith become lifelong friends at the American Music Awards.

Taylor Swift regularly invited a wide range of all-star surprise guests on stage during his world tour Red, including Carly Simon, Jennifer Lopez and fall out Boy Patrick Stump. As the tour ended in London last February, fans were surprised conducting an unknown: British singer Sam Smith. Swift had discovered Smith's song "Money on My Mind", by Radio 1 DJ Greg James UK Twitter. "[The] hook sounded nothing like everything else I had heard," says Swift. "I learned that he was a new artist who had not yet been launched in the US yet, but I felt strange inclination to introduce my fans out in the O2 [Arena]. When I love something immediate, usually react the same way. "

Swift was right. Smith won the crowd of the night, and, driven by his hit "Stay with me", his album In the Lonely Hour has become a Top 10 hit worldwide, selling over 3.5 million copies. He is six Grammy Awards on February 8 - and appears on the latest cover of Rolling Stone (on stands Friday). "I'll never forget the time I was standing on stage at the soundcheck waiting for Sam to leave the stage, and my band and I heard him sing on your microphone from the side of the stage in our ear monitors "says Swift.”Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me like," Wait a second ... "We were all completely stunned that this person sounded even better live than he did in his poignant, extraordinary recordings."

Swift continues: "The lack of effort singing Sam is absolutely took our breath away and that night, he had the same effect on people they were not necessarily screaming for him because he was famous or recognizable for them it was something... more exciting than that. They were yelling at Sam because all 20,000 of them were at the same time realizing that they remembered seeing Sam Smith sing early in his career for the rest of their lives. I know I will. "

Smith wrote "Stay with Me" on his lonely period after moving to London.”I had a lot of one night," he says. "I met an unreliable friends, people I'm definitely not friends with now." Like many fans, Swift sees the honesty and openness of Smith as part of its appeal: "There is something very pure and direct about how Sam lives his life, and he is very transparent in its representation of its image," she says. "People just want someone real to listen, and vulnerability Sam is willing to project goes as courage, because it's true. He's not just one thing. He is sad and he is excitable. He is stoic but he is happy. He is naive and he is wise beyond his years. Showing yourself as a real person, multifaceted it is difficult in this business because it seems to be is encouraging times as many artists to play a character. To play itself is actually exposed, but I think that's what Sam will set apart from all others. "
Swift and Smith have been seeing a lot of each other lately.”We have to get really up to my 25th birthday party," says Swift. ("I left embrace Grammy!" Smith says). But an anecdote, the American Music Awards in November, stands out in the mind of Swift: "We were in the front row watching watching Ariana Grande, loving his performance are both quite lively when other artists are seeing the end of his performance  ... she did a dance move that was so sexy and so fresh, and while Sam and I shouted "YAS YAS BITCH!!" and then looked at each other and died laughing. I felt that going to be friends for life. "

Here's what we know.

We have never been so worried about the Super Bowl.

A January 21 report in Life & Style is delivering new deets about Katy supposed next single "She's so creepy," claiming that the song is "a very thinly veiled attack on Taylor Swift" with phrases like: "When you say no nothing there, "and even a reference to Tay" white horse track. "

"The song sums up the feelings of Katy about a girl who has been a miserable two-faced" a source tells the magazine. "It does not take a genius to understand that Taylor is talking."

Life & Style says Katy plans to debut "She's so creepy" during the halftime show because, "There's nothing like telling millions of viewers around the world how you feel about your nemesis. The message of Katy will be heard loud and clear. "

Not to worry, though, Swifties. Taylor is ready for battle also, according to Life & Style.

The Bondi Hipsters React To Taylor Swift’s Entry In The Hottest 100

Bondi Hipsters Christiaan Van Vuuren known as Nick and BOSHIER.

Taylor Swift entry in Triple J Hottest 100 has drawn scorn beard wear hipsters craft beer consumers throughout Australia.

But none more so than The Hipsters Bondi. They are furious, and they have written to News.com.au with this diatribe:

So hold on, let me get this straight. Environment Australia is perfectly comfortable standing around while our government breaks promises, denies the facts of climate change, reduce investment in science, we charge more for education and health care, supports deforestation, land mines of ancient significance spiritual, you dredges our Great Barrier Reef, spend all our money on jets and then blame the previous government for getting into debt - but when Taylor Swift could get a song on the Triple J Hottest 100 all are united in arms? Can you believe it?

Something has finally mobilized bogans! Look at the power they have. Wow, if this is what it takes to rile voters in Australia and make them think for themselves, maybe we have to say that Miley Cyrus is running for prime minister or that Justin Bieber will be the new Governor General.

So to be perfectly clear; Middle Australia does not protest when quickening, carbon monoxide-food, oxygen-create natural, world heritage listed rainforests of Tasmania are made available for registration. They do not protest against the displacement of hundreds of thousands of innocent families by grabbing oil wars are intimately involved in or the large number of patents potentially renewable energy changing world that are buried under piles of paperwork capitalist enterprise.

They do not protest when our jet-loving, budgie smuggling prime minister and his cabinet sausage fest sit and read our emails, capturing our metadata, plotting ways to eliminate our freedoms and establish a fair Orwellian society in front of our eyes.

They did not protest the fact that in 2016 the richest 1% of the world population will be over 50% of global wealth. Or that the world has lost 50% of its wildlife in the past 40 years. Nor is there an island floating debris stirred in the Pacific Ocean the size of a small continent ... BUT ... US pop star could enter the Triple J Hottest 100, and are starving, marching en masse carrying banners and set themselves on fire in the streets of Mollymook? Well, a massive congratulations to the Illuminati, because their distractions are working. People are officially more concerned about anything celebrity who genuinely important global issues that affect the longevity of our planet and the future of human civilization as we know it.

Look, do not get us wrong. We're not having a go at Triple J listeners. We do not like Tay Tay songs any more than the next brah, and we know it's just another jerk celebrity, but it is quite surprising that bogans have stopped chewing with his mouth open and irrigate their driveways during the time enough to get behind a cause greater than buying a lottery ticket or savings to achieve shared in a speedboat time. I finally understand how it works mid Australia. I finally understand how someone like Tony Aaaahbbott could have been voted. And finally I'm getting my head around why politicians we speak as if talking to children eight years old.
